SURVEY: PLSD Proposed 2026-2027 Academic Calendar

Pickerington Local Schools is seeking your input on the proposed 2026–2027 Academic Calendar. Students, families, staff, and community members are invited to complete a brief four-question survey to share their feedback. The district calendar supports both the educational priorities and operational needs of Pickerington Local Schools.

As required by Ohio law, the calendar must be available for a 30-day public comment period before it can be approved by the Board of Education. The deadline to submit feedback is December 31, 2025.

The proposed 2026–2027 Academic Calendar is expected to be presented for approval to the Pickerington Local Schools Board of Education at its first regular business meeting in January, 2026

The PLSD Calendar Committee consists of the Superintendent/designee and another representative of Administrative staff, the PEA President/designee, and one (1) Board Member. As outlined in the Pickerington Education Association Master Agreement, the first contractual day will start no earlier than August 10th and the last student day will be no later than May 31st. Included in the calendar are six professional development days as well as one teacher record day at the end of the first quarter and one day at the end of the third quarter. We referenced the Ohio State Testing Window Schedule to plan Spring Break. In total, students in K-8 have 175 Instructional Days while students in 9-12 have 176 Instructional Days.
