PHSN Multimedia Students Shine at Business Professionals of America Leadership Conference - Headed to Nationals

Teamwork, Talent, and Months of Preparation on Display as Pickerington High School North Multimedia Students Get Ready for Nationals

This year’s Business Professionals of America (BPA) State Leadership Conference was a milestone moment for Pickerington High School North's Multimedia program.

Twenty-five students traveled to downtown Columbus to compete across nine different events — the most in program history. Working in teams and as individual competitors, students showcased their talents in graphic and UX design, web design, video production, animation, podcasting, presentation management, and broadcast news.

The results speak for themselves.

Seven of the nine teams and individuals who qualified for state were named State Finalists. In all, 18 students were recognized during the awards ceremony — a strong showing that reflects months of collaboration, creativity, and preparation.

“This level of success reflects months of preparation, collaboration, and creative problem-solving,” said Doug Rider, the Multimedia Instructor with Eastland-Fairfield Career & Technical Schools at Pickerington High School North. “I’m proud not only of the awards our students earned, but of the growth and professionalism they demonstrated throughout the process.”

For these students, BPA is more than a competition. It’s an opportunity to refine real-world skills, work as creative teams, and see their ideas stand alongside some of the best in the state.

And now, they’re taking that experience to the national stage, several students will now advance to the BPA National Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, May 6-10, 2026.
