Violet Elementary School Teacher Selected for Ohio Lottery’s Teacher Wish List Program

The Ohio Lottery is giving back to educators across the state — and Violet Elementary School first-grade teacher Emily Hineline is among the recipients.

Hineline was selected as part of the Ohio Lottery’s Teacher Wish List initiative, an educational campaign that recognizes and rewards teachers, students, and schools while highlighting the community’s collective support for education.

“I am incredibly thankful to be selected as an Ohio Lottery teacher Wishlist Winner,” shared Violet Elementary School First Grade Teacher Emily Hineline. “This generous support will bring engaging tools and resources into our 1st grade classroom- materials that spark creativity, build foundational skills, and make learning fun every single day. These supplies will help students develop confidence as readers, thinkers, and problem-solvers, while also encouraging their creativity and love for learning.”

In September, Hineline was one of just 20 teachers statewide randomly chosen to have her classroom wish list items fulfilled — providing up to $1,000 in school supplies to directly enhance learning experiences for her students. According to the Ohio Lottery, the average teacher spends nearly $800 of their own money each year on classroom materials, making this initiative a meaningful way to ease that burden and support educators across Ohio.
