Building Careers in Pickerington - District Names New Payroll Supervisor

Growing from Within, Amy Agganis Named Payroll Supervisor

A Journey of Professional Growth and Community Commitment

Pickerington Local Schools is proud to announce Amy Agganis will step into her new role as Payroll Supervisor, effective March 30. Amy’s journey with the District reflects the strength of growing careers within the District and her commitment to supporting staff across the organization.

Amy began her connection with the District as a parent volunteer, supporting classrooms, reading with students, and serving as a PTO fundraising co-chair at Violet Elementary. She later joined as a Kindergarten Literacy Intervention Aide before transitioning to the Treasurer’s Office in 2020 as Administrative Assistant to the Treasurer and Payroll Clerk.

“I was drawn here because I knew it would be a place where I could build a career while being available for my children,” Amy shared.

In her Treasurer’s Office role, Amy has managed supplemental contracts, supported payroll processing, handled classified substitute payroll, and assisted with month- and year-end financial processes — all while ensuring accuracy and strong internal controls.

This next chapter in her career is both personal and professional.

“It feels like recognition of the effort I’ve invested and the relationships I’ve built here,” Amy said. “It’s also an opportunity to grow, take on new responsibilities, and continue contributing to the District’s success.”

Having worked closely with the current Payroll Supervisor and completed cross-training, Amy is focused on maintaining the high standards already in place and ensuring a smooth transition.

“No question is too small — I’m here as a resource,” she added.

Outside of work, Amy enjoys spending time with her family, cheering on her children at their activities, and reading a good book.

Please join us in congratulating Amy Agganis as she steps into her new role as Payroll Supervisor, effective March 30.
