Mission: Our mission is to equip every educator with the tools to provide a quality education for every child in every classroom every day.
At Pickerington Local Schools, Academic Services delivers engaging, personalized learning experiences that empower students to succeed in college, careers, and life. By using innovative teaching practices, such as interactive whiteboards and virtual reality simulations, cutting-edge resources like online databases and e-books, and the latest technology, such as tablets and educational apps, we equip every student with the skills they need to thrive in an ever-evolving world.
We believe in the power of community in the educational process. We nurture strong connections between students and educators, fostering habits of lifelong learning and preparing students to confidently navigate complex, dynamic environments. Hands-on, real-world learning experiences help students develop critical thinking, collaboration, and leadership skills, empowering them to positively impact their classrooms, schools, and beyond.
To ensure we continue to offer high-quality education, we are committed to a seven-year cycle to review and update our curriculum and instructional resources across subjects like English language arts, math, and science. This unwavering commitment ensures our teaching stays relevant, effective, and aligned with the latest academic standards.
We invite you to join us on this journey as we guide our students toward a bright future where they can achieve their fullest potential and make meaningful contributions to the world.

Pickerington Local School District is dedicated to working together with families and our community to enhance academic, social, and emotional outcomes for every student in every classroom, every day.
Below are the key goals designed to support learning and connection for all students.
These four goals will guide us from 2025 to 2028
Early Literacy (Kindergarten–3rd Grade)
We’re working to help more of our youngest learners become confident readers and writers. Our goal is to see a 7 percentage point increase in the number of students meeting early literacy expectations on the State Report Card.
Mathematics (7th Grade & Algebra I)
We aim to strengthen students’ math skills by increasing the number of students who score at or above proficiency in 7th Grade Math and Algebra I by 12 percentage points.
Sense of Belonging (Grades 3–12)
We want every student to feel connected, valued, and included at school. Our goal is to increase the number of students who say they feel like they belong at school by 15 percentage points, based on our district’s Panorama Survey.
English Learners (All Grades)
We’re committed to supporting our English Learners as they grow in language proficiency. Our goal is for at least 75% of our English Learners to reach or exceed their growth targets on the Ohio English Language Proficiency Assessment (OELPA), with dedicated support to strengthen their English reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.
